What is PrizeRebel?
PrizeRebel is a US-based website where members can earn rewards from completing a variety of different online activities and tasks, including surveys.
It is available around the world, to anyone over 18. It is advised, however, that those from the USA, Canada, UK and Australia are likely to find more to do on the site. It’s also worth noting that those aged 13-18 can also get involved with consent of a parent or guardian.
Is PrizeRebel Legit?
PrizeRebel is a legitimate survey and offers site that has been in business for over 10 years.
How do you earn points?
Surveys
When you select the survey option you get access to ten different survey providers. Many of these are well known companies. (And several can also be accessed using other survey sites we have reviewed previously).
All the survey providers have a fairly simple process to access their surveys. Once you have selected the relevant provider’s tab you are shown their available surveys. For the majority of providers you are shown the survey type, time to complete the survey, and the points on offer.
This means you can weigh up whether the points value for the estimated time commitment is worth it. This reward per length of survey does vary greatly across all the different providers. This is slightly annoying as there is no consistency.
To access the surveys you just click the “Go” tab and you are taken through. Normally before starting each survey you are asked to complete up to three demographic questions. The likelihood of being “screened out” at this point is high, and I have had this happen on many occasions. If this is the case you are redirected back and can try for another survey for the same payout.
An alternative is to return back to the main website and select another survey. As you can end up with rejection after rejection – never knowing how much you may be earning – I do recommend doing this.
Survey Providers
In the next section I look at all the different survey providers I tried out when I put together this PrizeRebel review. Note that you may well see a different selection depending on where you are located in the world.
Your Surveys
The first provider on my list was “Your Surveys.” You can complete a “Daily Survey” worth 80 points more than once a day, which is an easy way to build up points. With these surveys, the reward is the same regardless of the survey length. It’s always worth checking the length of the survey if you are accepted, just to see if the points reward seems worthwhile. I have completed a survey in just two minutes to earn the 80 points, so it is worth having a go.
Your Surveys has proven the most lucrative provider in my own search for points. In the month I have been using PrizeRebel, 677 of my points have come from using this provider. Another positive is the ability to complete all of these surveys on a smartphone, tablet or computer.
Daily Gold
The next provider for me was Daily Gold. There are many different survey opportunities available through this provider. The points reward per survey is available, but you are not informed of the likely time to complete these surveys. This is frustrating.
You can complete the “Cint Daily Survey” for 80 points, as many times as possible during the day, and this varies in length. I have managed to complete a few surveys through this provider, so it is definitely one that seems worth checking out. Once again, these surveys are compatible with smartphones, tablets and computers.
SaySo Rewards
The third provider was SaySo Rewards. The survey lengths for the points rewards here seem really poor, and I have yet to actually complete a survey. On the plus side, all the SaySo surveys can be completed on all devices.
PeanutLabs
Next up is PeanutLabs. I have only been able to access this provider whilst using a computer and I have not had any luck with completing ANY surveys.
Tap Research
Tap Research was next on my list. The rewards vary greatly. It may just be poor luck but I was screened out for every survey I attempted while writing this review of PrizeRebel! There seem to be plenty of surveys here and they are available for smartphone, tablet and computer, so more perseverance could perhaps pay off.
Toluna
Next up is Toluna. The surveys I saw from this provider all pay 73 points regardless of the length. I have completed a few surveys with Toluna via PrizeRebel. They are fairly enjoyable on the whole and work on all devices.
Other Providers
The other providers accessible to me on my PrizeRebel dashboard were OpWorld, MarketCube, Innovate and Precision. None had any surveys available to me during the month I completed my review. Your mileage may vary if you’re located elsewhere.
Survey Quality Scores
One vital thing to keep an eye on whilst completing surveys on Prize Rebel is your “Quality Score.”
You start off at 100 and it goes up and down depending on your perceived accuracy when you fill out surveys. Surveys often include tricks and quality control questions in to catch you out. These things are put in place by survey companies to catch out people (and automated bots) zooming through surveys without looking at what they are doing.
As such, you must give the surveys your full attention as one mistake can cost you 10 points. Meanwhile, completing a survey without “mistakes” earns you one point. The downside to this points system is that If you fall below 100 points you are less likely to receive new surveys. It’s actually a pretty sensible system.
Offer Walls
The next area of PrizeRebel’s “Earn” tab is “Offer Walls.” If you don’t like completing surveys this is an alternative place for you to explore. As with the survey providers there are nine different offer providers available through this tab.
Here you find a wide variety of offers, ranging from signing up for free trials to installing apps or playing games to a specific level. The amount of points on offer varies.
What kind of cash and prizes can you earn?
You need to earn at least 200 points to withdraw your earnings. 200 points = $2
- 200 points = $2 (Apple music, Amazon,
- 300 points = $3
- 500 points = $5 (Amazon, Paypal, VISA prepaid, The Container store,
- 1000 points = $10 (Disney,
