This page is dedicated to promoting ways to save money for your future. I have 3 ways that I track my savings. I track and manage my savings through iPhone apps, using an electronic journal (google sheets) and using a paper chart (that I can physically write on and see as a reference).

Apps

I use several apps to save money, including, cashback apps, keep the change apps, bank apps, and goal saving apps.

  • Qapital is a goal saving app. This app allows you to save money in a separate account from your bank account. This app is perfect for people who try to save but have a habit of transferring money back and forth between their savings to checking account. When your money goes to your Qapital account, it accumulates and you don’t touch it. The great part about this app is that you can earn a bonus when you get your family and friends to sign up! Sign up to start saving and you’ll get a $10 bonus reward towards your savings goal! Sign up here!

  • Dosh is a cashback app that gives you a percentage back on your purchases. Whether you’re shopping at Walmart, Dunkin Donuts, Chick Fil A, you’ll earn a certain percentage from each dollar that you spend. You can withdraw your earnings when you reach $25! Sign up here!
  • Ebates: The #1 Cash Back site! It’s the same as Dosh. Get a $10 bonus when you sign up with my free invite link! Join here! More details at Ebates!

Journaling

I journal my expenses, income and savings in a Google excel sheet to keep track of my money. I log every penny that I spend, earn and save. I transfer all of my online earnings in my savings account. Most recently, I began transferring my online earnings in my Qapital account so that I can see it accumulate. I also log my credit card debt. Right now, my goal is to pay off my credit card debt by December 2019. All of this helps me to practice financial literacy! I have one major spreadsheet with 4 tabs on it.

  1. Expenses
  2. Savings
  3. Online earnings
  4. Credit card debt / other debt

If you would like my services in setting up your google sheet from now through December 2020, it will be $5 per tab. $5 x 4 tabs = $20 total. If you would like financial assistance through the year, it will be an additional $10. $20 + $10 = $30

Financial assistance includes:

  • 24/7 Q & A
  • Quarterly checkins with savings plan

Paper chart

I also use paper charts to have an “in my face” view of my progress. You can find free financial charts online. Soon, I will create my own for everyone to use!
